Tim Holme

Tim Holme is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of QuantumScape, a leading developer of solid-state lithium-metal batteries, designed to enable greater energy density, faster charging and enhanced safety to support the transition away from legacy energy sources. In this role, he oversees advanced materials research, technical product development, machine learning, and intellectual property for the company’s next-generation battery technology. Tim conducted his PhD in Mechanical Engineering with Professor Fritz Prinz at Stanford, working on the materials science and electrochemistry of energy conversion and storage devices. He also holds a MS in Mechanical Engineering and a BS in Physics from Stanford.
