Simona Onori
Simona Onori is an Associate Professor at Stanford University in Energy Science and Engineering. She is a Senior Fellow at the Precourt Institute for Energy and Director and Founder of the Stanford Energy Control Lab. She held visiting professor positions at the University of Trento (Italy), Beijing Institute of Technology (2015, China), and University of Orleans (France) and she is a distinguished visiting professor at PSG College of Technology (2018, India). She is a Fellow of SAE. She is the recipient of various awards, including the 2021 IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology (TCST) Outstanding Paper Award (as advisor), 2020 U.S. DOE C3E Award in the research category, 2017 NSF CAREER Award. She has been serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the SAE International Journal of Electrified Vehicles since 2020 and she chaired the IEEE CSS Technical Committee of Automotive Controls from 2015-2017. Dr. Onori received her Ph.D. degree in control engineering from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
